Personal Prayer Spaces on Campus - Fall 2022
Communal religious practices are happening virtually or off-campus this semester. Cannon Chapel, the university chapel on the Quad, is closed for communal spiritual gatherings. However, there are small prayer spaces around campus that are available for individual prayer and meditation. For questions, please contact religiouslife@emory.edu.
NOTE: The spaces below are for use by students who are approved to be back on campus. To learn how to complete the fall onboarding process for returning to campus, please reference the Emory Forward website here.
- Please bring your own prayer rug.
- Please use provided disinfectant to wipe down door handle upon entrance and exit.
- AMUC is accessible by ID card to all Emory students who have been approved to return to campus (Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. ).
- The space can accommodate one person at a time.
- For access to the building, please submit a request through the following link: Gridium.com
- The space can accommodate one student at a time.
- There are ablution rooms nearby; ablution rooms are cleaned on the same schedule as bathrooms.
- The Prayer/Meditation Room is accessible with a reservation to study on the First Floor of the Library.

- For students who are approved to be back on campus. EmoryCard access via door facing White Hall.
