Sacred Spaces on Campus
The Emory University Office of Spiritual and Religious Life (OSRL) has institutional responsibility for making available and ensuring the appropriate furnishing of spaces for prayer and meditation across Emory University schools and facilities. We welcome partnership with faculty, staff and students to ensure appropriate places for prayer and meditation for the Emory community. For more information, please contact religiouslife@emory.edu.
There are a number of sacred spaces on Emory's campuses.
Cannon Chapel (Atlanta Campus):
- The Sanctuary, third floor of Cannon Chapel
- Rustin Chapel, small side chapel connected to the Sanctuary
- Small Prayer Chapel, first floor (downstairs)
- Room 106, which has a labyrinth design in the carpet, and may be used for personal prayer when not scheduled or scheduled for communal prayer or meditation
Emory Interfaith Center (Atlanta Campus):
- Chaplain and Staff Offices
- Conference Room
- Interfaith Commons
- Prayer/Lecture Room
- Meditation Room
- Ablution Area
- Interfaith Library
